Play Tycoon and Taj Mahal online against other human opponents or against robots. To get started, following the instructions on the download page. Go to the game's webpage below to read the rules if you need to do it. When you sign in, just click on "start game" and pick a game to play. Then choose a color and start! The game begins . . .

If you want to play against a human and you see someone else signed in, just talk to them. Often they won't see your messages until their game ends because the boards cover the message window. Just wait or play a game alone. Then one player starts the game and the other joins when the game window says the game is OPEN. (You may have to click on the open game in the games window if there is more than one going on.) In either online game, you can chat. The phone or "C" button will turn yellow when a message arrives. Have fun!

Important Download Notice
If you go to Sun's website to download Java Webstart, do not choose the first download option, which is the cobundle with the Netbeans IDE. It's 92 mb, and includes stuff you do not need! Go to the next section and download the JRE instead.

Taj Mahal Reiner Knizia designed the popular Taj Mahal in 2000. It was published in Germany by Alea and in the United States by Rio Grande Games.
Tycoon Tycoon was designed by Wolfgang Kramer and Horst-Rainer Rösner in 1998 and published by Jumbo International. I suspect that it is out of print.
